The Thin Red Line, 1998 (dir. Terrence Malick)

I am a Malick guy..have been since the days of Badlands. I caught on to Malick thru the original Siskel and Ebert at the Movies on PBS. Before the days of the internet it’s hard to explain to younger people how influential these two were in exposing film fans in the midwest to independent and foreign films. Through them I caught a lot of movies at the great Cinemateque and Cedar Lee here in Cleveland and also via the new video stores of the day.
Anyway my main comment was going to be that in a filmography full of greatness The Thin Red Line is my favorite.
