– Mitch McConnel on the US economic stimulus plan (via weon) (via jmarie3)
If you posted a quote from Mitch McConnell every day for a trillion days he would still be completely full of shit

That’s some heavy duty narcissism.

As a movie: so-so
As a technological achievement, a turning point in film history: Amazing, incredible, awesome …after the movie I had the thought that if only Kubrick and Kurosawa had lived long enough to grab this technology we would have experienced film nirvana. Someone will do it and soon. Avatar, if you see it, HAS to be the digital 3D version.
Plus: I didn’t...

It’s more change than you could’ve expected from McCain or Hillary, my friend. Count your blessings.
Sorry, not buying it.
I’m tired of these specious and puerile cliches, this talk of how “things could be worse” or “the perfect is the enemy of the good”. If we truly believe that only the perfect can be perfect then we delude ourselves into letting just...
When people become broken, they cannot act on truths of injustice. Furthermore,...
– Bruce E. Levin (via azspot) (via jhnbrssndn)
Not in all cases. People don’t protest obvious injustices that don’t directly affect them, or they don’t care because it doesn’t affect them. Broken people are so much stronger than those who’ve never been broken. Those are the ones who will act on...

“Do I need to bring the case of beer over here to the counter?”
I lived in PA for a while, and it took me some time to understand everybody.
Did you “red up” your room? and “go up air?”
I remember water being pronounced “werder.”
It comes out of a “spigget”

My grandmother died yesterday at 97 years old. Up until 6 months ago, she was fairly independent (for someone who’s 97), then took a fall, broke her hip and that was the beginning of the end.
Really an amazing woman who was tougher than most, went through a lot, and always laughed.
Over 300 people are expected at her funeral on Monday. She was well known in the community for her...

She was Greek and amazing
Dec 4th 2005: Four years ago this minute I was on a first date with the most amazing and beautiful woman on this planet. By the end of the movie (Capote) I was totally in love. She is/was gorgeous and brilliant and funny and sexy and has/had the most amazing smile ever. Ultimately she broke my heart into a million pieces. Yet I would rather suffer this smashed heart than never have met and loved...
